We are Switched To... We are an upbeat acoustic rock band with a focus on strong vocals and lead guitar. Why are we different? Switched To... is a combination of four different people with four different musical styles and sounds. When you put them together you get Switched To... The four members include Paul (vocals, guitar), Matt(lead guitar), J.D.(bass), and Jeff(drums). Paul has a backround of alternative 90's rock, Matt acoustic jam bands, J.D. punk, and Jeff latino. With all these styles and all these beat Switched to is bound to be exciting and new. This album "Abandon" has been a work in progress for the last year by founding members Paul and Matt. Starting in a shared apartment the two began to write, combining Paul's thought provoking lyrics with Matt's melodic riffs and harmonies. The two have not stopped writing yet. You have to hear there music to put a style to them. 'Acoustic Rock' does not do this group justice. Their album is fun and upbeat while discousing some major issues of todays youth. They sing about finding yourself, pressing forward through hard times, and of course love, and the lack of it. You definately must hear their music to understand this bands original style and personality.

Musical Background:
I started playing guitar at a young age. I took lessons for a few months while in fourth grade, learning the basics. Every now and again I would play as part of a band in high school but not often. When I went to college I spent more time playing around using tabs from the Internet. My sophomore year I auditioned for a local church band that played contemporary music. I began playing with Matt that same year and the rest is history. As far as my vocals go there is a long history. From as far back as I can remember I was involved in choir. The summer before my sophomore year of college I purchased an Ibanez acoustic guitar and found my style of writing with the help of Matt. In most of our original songs Matt and I write the music together, and I write the lyrics.

I grew up in Elizabeth, just outside of Newark, struming my guitar. I never had a band or played for anyone until I met Paul. The guitar I use is a no name classical guitar.
