The Lone Star by Sonja Erica Jennifer Greub
Haunting dispays of lightning danced
beyond the hills I did spy,
capturing the twinkling brilliance
of the lone star in the sky.
As I gazed for quite sometime
my thoughts ignited with surprise,
there within the grasp of my world
a wise old message before my eyes.
The thunder is our sometimes world
outside forces beyond our control,
so let go, sit back and watch it be
soon the message will unfold.
That brilliant star, yet all alone
undeterred, did shine so bright,
never faltering amidst the chaos
on that haunting stormy night.
Our shining star that lives within
is our gift, to guide us through,
the darker moments within our world
helps to create a stronger you.

A Treasure by Sonja Erica Jennifer Greub
I may not have had the privilege
of bringing you into this world,
my life is richer for knowing you.
Yet, it's important for you to know
that I think you're someone special...
I value your qualities,
you'd make any parent proud
in so many different ways.
I see many great dreams for you
for I know you have so much to give,
the world is your oyster,
and you are the pearl,
I think you are such a treasure...

Cross Roads by Robbin Ford
Indecisions come,
hide truth,
Insecurities block happiness.
Why is what seemed so clear
yesterday, today shrouded in mist.
Self doubt my friend once more.
You've come to sap my strength
yet again.
I walk this path,
chosen by ME.
I will find my way.
Old friend we part ways here.
Your hold on me ends.
My future is MINE before me.
No longer do I cling from the past.
My freedom I reclaim.

Tomorrow Won't Tell by Robbin Ford
Standing on the edge of tomorrow
Future looming bright ahead
Exhilarated at the unknown
My soul and heart have been
kissed by love.
Thoughts of you,
such sweet torment.
Balm to my troubled soul.
Longing, more intense than
any I have known before.
Hunger grips me ....
creating a maelstrom of feelings
what will become of us?
Will this ache subside?
Only tomorrow knows the answers..
and she is not talking.
She says " come find out".
and softly she smiles.

"I'm Telling You This as a Friend" by Amanda M.C. Millard
You have the "hit the donkey on it's head with a
2X4" syndrome...
It takes a death to end your speeding
It takes a close call to end the speed
It takes the streets to know the value of a good home
It takes the hospital to know the value of good health
And yes, I am going to say it...
"I told you so."

Walls by Amanda M.C. Millard
There is always a force that wants us to fake
But there's only so much that we can take
We must set ourselves free before we break
By coming clean
We started out anxious, ended up blessed
So much more passed than we'd have guessed
Yet we never felt as if we were pressed
As we had been
A thousand walls tumbled that day
Afterwards, no one knew what to say
So many thing had been hidden away
Now open, seen
