Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, anime series ever created, OAVs included. Evangelion is set in the future, where a being known as an "Angel" created mass flooding across the world in the year 2000, destroying half of the world's population. 15 years later, the 3rd Angel arrives in Tokyo-3, and the only thing that can stop it are the humaniod robots known as Evangelion. NGE is one of the most thought-provoking videos ever. It is a very emotional series, observing the nature of life and exposes the weaknesses of the human soul. The music track fits the atmosphere perfectly, with the exception of Kom Susser Todd. :p If you want a great anime that's sure to become a classic, you can't go wrong with Evangelion. Of course, you could just watch it for the big robots. ;)
