This page runs backwards in chronoligal order... so it doesn't make sense to read from top to bottom.

April 14th, 2003. A friend of mine, who I've been in his recording studio and recorded a karaoke song with, has recorded an album in Nashville, Tennessee. His mom sent me an email and then he did himself to let me know that the site is up again.

March 17th, 2003. Happy St. Patrick's Day! My buddy Norm is representing the University of Alberta at ASHAM Canadian University Curling Championship, March 26th - 30th, 2003 at the University of Regina. You can see his mug here , or click here .

February 19th, 2003 I am BACK at Aurora College to finish my social work diploma and I am also occasionally working at River Ridge Young Offender's Facility and I am liking both of it. I am just sitting here and decided to do a little work on the website, nothing major.

May 8th, 2002. A couple of new things happening.

Chaal Cadieux has been showing my uncomleted script to people and people have been getting excited about it. He showed someone from Trout Lake, Northwest Territories, and he had mentioned that there could be some land there to further develop this. Nothing's written in stone (especially since my script isn't finished) but my movie could be made.

My episode of North of 60 aired on what I thought was an American channel called Showcase just recently. I was so excited thinking that my face had been on American air.

April 11th, 2002. To update the website that I have been so badly neglecting, I have left the social work program in Fort Smith (prematurely), and have rejoined the workforce at Dene Konia Young Offenders Facility in Hay River. I've been working there since December and have been enjoying although it has been stressful at times. Some things I have been working on is my music and a screenplay. My friend Malcolm Camsell has recently put guitar music to one of my songs and it sounds pretty good. I've been working on a screenplay and have decided that I will finish it and shoot it here in the Northwest Territories... when this will be completed is hard to say.

October 9th, 2001. I know, I know, I know. I haven't updated my site in a dog's age (Oh, by the way, I do have a dog now). In a modest attempt to actually work on my site, I have to admit that I have been influenced by having my site linked to Native Actors Database. I will attempt to update this site as much as I can. I promise... honest Indian. : )

November 28th, 2000. The semester is almost over for the first half of the social work program. Everything is going okay, but I'm sick and I'm stressed. Perhaps I'm sick because I'm stressed?

Tonight is the general meeting of the drama group that I'm organizing. It's main purpose is to raise public awareness of certain issues through the medium of drama.

Today, my instructor Chris Wanamaker (I kid you not... that is his name) told me the man who owns the recording studio in town wants to speak to me. Possibly for helping with backup vocals and stuff. Not that I'd be much help today as I'm sure that I'm suffering from Strep throat.

Late September to July 6th, 2000 After so much procrastination, I've finally done some work on my website. I'm sure some of my friends are thinking that it's about time. I'll go over some of the news that's happened to me since the last news date.

This July 9th, 2000. I'll be stepping into the recording studios to record a cover tune for a compilation album. I'd tell you the name of the tune, but it's supposed to be a surprise for my sweetheart.

June 23rd, 2000. I was accepted into the Social Work program at Thebacha Campus at Aurora College in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories.

Beginning of June I found out that the committee (that decides which albums were to be given grants for) hasn't even been formed yet. So I won't find out for a long time whether I'll be getting money to do my album.

May 29th, 2000. I got engaged to the love of my life... I still haven't asked her if it's okay that I tell people her name on my website, but the last time we talked she didn't want our relationship status advertised. This is supposed to show you just exactly how long it's been since I worked on the site.

End of February I applied for a Northern Arts Grant to record my own album of my own music and some cover tunes. I should have done this a long time ago, but it took some major prodding from my buddy Mike VanGurp.

September 14th, 1999. I called Alex Czarnecki in Yellowknife today, where he told me that the movie is probably not going to be in production for a couple of years.

Movie Deal Inked for Shooting in the Northwest Territories!"
Newspaper clipping from The Hub a local paper of Hay River's dated Wednesday, May 26th, 1999.

Feature Movie Filmed Here?

The GNWT has given their collective nods to invest in a feature movie. The Wounding, a stage play written in 1986 by Yellowknife resident Alex Czarnecki is about Samuel Hearne and his Chipewyan friend, Matonabbee. If the project goes ahead to the production stage, it is anticipated that a major protion will be filmed here in the NWT. The GNWT has committed $100,000 for further script development, location scouting, casting and other pre-production activities associated with the movie. Funding is being provided to Treeline Trappings Ltd., a subsidiary of the Dene Cultural Institute, which will be a limited partner in the venture. The contribution must be repaid if The Wounding goes into production. The government's support is conditional upon Tri-Vanguard, of which the writer/producer is president, can obtain adequate financing to complete the $1.1 million pre-production phase of its motion picture. Academy Award nominee, Zachary Sklar, who wrote the film JFK, is writing the screenplay for The Wounding.

Did somebody mention casting??? (ahem, ahem)

By the way, this clipping was used without permission, and will be removed upon request of the staff of The Hub and/or their publishers.

May 19th to May 25th, 1999. I had a week getaway to Grande Prairie, AB, and Fort St. John, BC. Here are some of the great people I got to meet with.

One of the first people to give me a ride south (yeah, I was hitchiking). Theresa Swallow and her son Bryan of Hay River, gave me a ride from near the Escarpment Creek Campground in the NWT to the Peace River, AB, turn-off. A big thank-you goes to them for taking a BIG chunk out of my hike.

When hitch-hiking outside of Berwyn, AB, I remembered seeing a vehicle heading the opposite direction I was. I remembered this particular vehicle because it looked like one of my friends family vehicle. About twenty minutes later this vehicle came back my direction from Grimshaw and he stopped to pick me up because he saw I was still walking. We talked and when we arrived to where he was going, it was pouring rain. He invited me to visit his family and wait out the storm... besides, he thought his family would get a kick out of meeting an actor. He was right, and from this I thank the Dennis family of Fairview, Alberta for being so kind to a total stranger... I hope that they get to check out my site.

Leaving Fort St. John, BC, I ran into my buddy Cory Feragotti and his (now ex) girlfriend Kristen (last name sounds like DER SHA WHISKEY, don't ask me to spell it). This is a pic from that meeting where we were driving in Cory's rental. Behind Kristen and myself is Mike peeking at the camera, and Cory is to the right of Kristen.

I've always complained that I hardly ever get picked up by cute girls when I'm hitch-hiking. But this changed when I was coming back home on Tuesday. Coming home from a field trip in Grande Prairie, they picked me up on the side of the road outside of Sexsmith. From left to right is Jaime, the driver (I don't know the name, hopefully someone will write me and inform me), Denise and Koralee. They all made my day by asking for my autograph. When I asked why they wanted my autograph, Denise replied because you're famous (she thought this only after I told her I was on TV). But I told her I couldn't be famous, after all, I was hitch-hiking.
