Lord Markham's Contest

Margaret the Docent says:

The rules of the contest are simple. The first person to return with the items is the winner. All you need to do is collect a wealthy hat, a red potion, a longbow, a seashell, a musical instrument, and a floor tile from the Temple of the Moon and bring them to the judge to win.

Lord Markham's Contest

This is actually a collection of 6 Quests, the destinations of which are listed below. You start the game on Emerald Island with these Quests, though both Margaret the Docent and the Judge at Lord Markham's Headquarters will tell you about them later.

Return a Red Potion: Acquired by many means on Emerald Island.

Return a Seashell: Acquired two ways on Emerald Island.

Return a Longbow: Acquired in The Temple of the Moon or The Dragon's Lair.

Return a Floor Tile: Acquired in The Temple of the Moon.

Return a Musical Instrument: Acquired on Emerald Island.

Return a Wealthy Hat: Acquired in The Temple of the Moon or on Emerald Island.

A good level to underake this Quest would be around 1-3.

The reward for this Quest is as follows: 500 XP and 2 Fame for each item + a bonus: 1000 XP and 4 Fame when all items have been found and returned. You become Lords of the Harmondale Castle.

Return a Red Potion
This can be found, bought or mixed (even without the Alchemy Skill).

Return a Seashell
This can be found in the storage shed (NW) or bought from Sally (NE).

Return a Longbow
This can be taken from Sal Sharktooth in The Temple of the Moon or found in The Dragon's Lair. You might want to keep one for yourself. Further information might be available in the Walkthru sections of these pages.

Return a Floor Tile
This can be found in a small room off the The Temple of the Moon. Further information might be available in the Walkthru section of the The Temple of the Moon page.

Return a Musical Instrument
This can only be bought from Ailyssa the Bard in front of the tavern on Emerald Island.

Return a Wealthy Hat
You can trade for one with rival contestant Brent Filiant or find one in The Temple of the Moon. Further information might be available in the Walkthru section of the The Temple of the Moon page.
