This site promotes Ethical Trapping and Modern Methods of taking Fur Bearers. It promotes and encourages Education for all ages. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.
The 'Fur Trade' is the Nation's Oldest Industry
Fur is a Natural, Renewable Resourse
It is our goal to help promote the Fur Trade and the Heritage of Trapping
So that the next generation can continue the work of our forefathers
It is our goal to provide the information needed to establish "Minimum Qualification Guidelines" that may be necessary for the Animal Damage Control Operator.
And to do this without "Seperating" The "Sports Trapper" from the "Animal Damage Control Operator"
Furthermore, we want to see all of this happen WITHOUT the involvement of the N.W.C.O.A. due to the fact that the N.W.C.O. belives that Sports Trapping and A.D.C.O.'s should be separated.
The primary goal is the establishment of "Minimum Qualification Guidelines" for A.D.C. Permit holders as may be required by each State.
It is our belief that BOTH the Sports Trapper and the A.D.C. Operator contributes to Sound Wildlife Management
If necessary, minimum qualification guidelines can also be established for the Sports Trapper which would be similar to the "Hunter Education Course" that is currently required before obtaining a Hunting License.
We feel that it is Extremely Important that the TWO (Sports Trapping & A.D.C.O's) SHOULD NOT be seperated as many states are doing now.
In the process of seperating the two the subject comes up regarding Endorsement by the Humane Society of the United States
IT IS OUR GOAL TO STAND OUT AND SPEAK UP AND SAY...
1. Although Fur Trapping and Nuisance Wildlife controls are similar, they SHOULD NOT BE REGULATED SEPERATELY!
2. Both the Sports Trapper and the Animal Damage Control Operator contribute equally to Sound Wildlife Management.
3. If we allow separation of the two and if endorsement of the Humane Society of the United States comes into play in the picture, there is a fear that ultimately it will be said that there is No Longer A Need For Sports Trapping
Right now, we have to Beware of Wolves in Sheeps Clothing and dis allow any endorsement or direct involvement with the H.S.U.S., otherwise "We Fear that in the future, the rights of the Sports Trapper will be abolished.
We are here to provide Information, Education, and Organization for people who like to trap and for those occupied in the field of Animal Damage Control.
