Chapter Five

Morgan fluttered her eyelids and opened them to the harsh sunlight in the room. She groaned to herself. Her head was throbbing and it felt like she'd just ran head first into a brick wall. The room was also starting to spin, leading her to the conclusion it was one of the worst hangovers she'd ever had. She stared up at the ceiling before turning to see the digital clock at her bedside. Before her eyes readjusted in time to read the fuzzy digital numbers she heard someone moan next to her. Morgan froze before turning to her other side. All she could see was a really long mound, until she noticed the strands of blonde hair sticking out.

"Oh shit" she cried out, before checking herself under the covers. "Oh shit!"

Nick was startled out of his sleep, and jumped about a mile when he heard Morgan scream. He looked at her in shock before remembering his own hangover and moaning as his head began to pulsate. He began rubbing his temples, trying to make it disappear. Nick then stopped as realisation dawned upon him and he peered under his own covers. He grabbed at the sheets and wrapped them around him protectively. "Shit!" He looked at Morgan accusingly.

Morgan looked at him. "Oh don't look at me that way. This..." she said gesturing towards them both. "Was not my idea."

"Well obviously it was one of us" Nick countered sarcastically. "I can't believe this."

"I know I feel so gross" she exclaimed. "I can't believe I let you touch me" she said before shuddering at the thought.

"Don't blame this on me. How do you know it wasn't your idea" Nick argued.

"Cause I don't do things like this. Especially with people like you!" Morgan crossed her arms over her shoulders and began to try and deal with what had happened. Everytime she looked over at Nick she felt digusted at him then at herself then at him again.

Nick ran his fingers through his knotted hair and cupped his face in his hands. He was shaking his head in disbelief. "This isn't happening..this isn't happening."

"Well it is and as much as I feel repulsed at what may have happened let's just get over it and pretend we never laid eyes on each other" Morgan said calmly. She looked at Nick who was obviously still in a state of shock. She stuck her finger out and poked his bare shoulder. "Alright?"

"Yeah, yeah whatever" came Nick's muffled response.

"Okay since we've got that settled I've gotta get dressed and see if I've still got a job" Morgan declared. She got up, making sure to cover every single part of her.

Nick looked up and snorted. "Don't bother... I've obviously already seen it all."

"Yes well as much as I'd like to fulfil your voyeuristic fantasies we were both smashed so logically we can't remember everything. And I'd like to keep it that was as much as possible" Morgan walked towards the bathroom in great difficulty, causing Nick to laugh. "Shut up."

Nick pulled a face and stuck his tongue out childishly. "You shut up."

Morgan gave an exasperated yell. "And to think we.." she trailed off unable to say anything further. "So how'd we get here?" Morgan said as she slowly started to realise she wasn't in her hotel room.

Nick shrugged. "I don't know, I've never seen this place in my life."

"Then where the hell are we?!"

"I wouldn't have a clue. I thought this was your room."

"Well it's not, so whose room is this?"

"We must've ended up here somehow, then one thing led to another and we..."

"Stop" Morgan said. "Stop right there before I puke all over the place."

Nick rolled his eyes at her before collapsing back down onto the bed. Morgan stormed off to the bathroom, before remembering her clothes. She made her way around the room snatching her belongings from the floor. She picked up Nick's shirt from the lamp and looked at him questioningly. Nick shrugged before smiling. "You must've got excited."

She flung the shirt in his face. "You wish." She made her way back to the bathroom and turned on the shower, trying to forget Nick in the other room.

Nick was staring up at the ceiling, trying to remember what had happened. His hangover was suddenly remembered when his vision became somewhat blurred. "Oh man" he groaned.

He sat up to look at the time and noticed it was near lunchtime already. He felt his stomach rumble and reached out for the phone next to him when he noticed his lefthand. He was staring hard at it wishing what he was seeing was a hallucination. He blinked a few time, but everytime he opened them again it was still there. There it was. On his left ring finger was a gold ring. He looked at his other hand noticing the friendship ring he normally wore was still there. Nick whimpered softly to himself. "Oh shit..oh shit...oh man."

As shock settled in, Nick jumped up and ran for the bathroom door. He tripped on the sheets in all his excitement and landed with a great thud. Being tall meant he had a longer way to fall. Nick rubbed his knee in pain before remembering the ring. He started banging on the door. "Open up!" Nick yelled out, and tried hard to remember Morgan's name. The harded he tried to the more he couldn't remember. "Hey you..what's your name!"

Morgan swung the door in annoyance, her hair piled up on her head in a lather. "What?!"

"Do you have a ring?" Nick panted.

Morgan looked at him as if he'd lost his mind and went to slam the door when Nick blocked it. Morgan tried to push him out while Nick continued to stop her. "What do you want?! I'm having a shower!"

"Show me your hand" Nick demanded.

Morgan raised her eyebrow at him while Nick was jumping up and down on the spot. "Have you lost your mind?!"

"Just show me" Nick cried out.

Morgan stuck her right hand out. Nick shook his head. "The other one."

"Be picky why don't you" Morgan said in annoyance. She stuck her left hand out, causing Nick's eyes to practically pop out of his head. "What?!"

Nick fell to his knees and whimpered to himself. He was making sobbing noised to himself, as Morgan looked down at him in confusion. "What's your problem?"

"Haven't you noticed?" Nick said looking at Morgan.

"Noticed what?"

"Look at your hand" Nick commanded. Morgan looked down. She was looking at her hand in annoyance and was about to yell at Nick again when her mouth gaped at what she saw. "Exactly."

"There...there..there's a ring on my finger. What's...is that.. what did you do to me?!" Morgan exclaimed as she shook Nick roughly.

Nick gripped Morgan's hand to stop her from shaking him. "What the hell have we done?"
