How can evolution be disproved? We would need a living fossil. We have fossils of fish that have supposedly been extinct for millions of years. If we could somehow find a fish that looked exactly like an extinct fish, it would be proof that evolution hasn't taken place.
In 1938, a fisherman near the southern coast of Africa netted a fish called a coelacanth (pronounced SEE-LA-KANTH). This fish, thought to be extinct for 70 million years, is a "living fossil" and looks exactly like its fossil ancestors! A number of coelacanths have been caught since the discovery in 1938, with all specimens looking the same.
This is proof evolution has not taken place. If evolution were true it should have changed significantly, but it hasn't!
