What's the difference between church
and a youth ministry? |
"Church" is often thought of as the building that
we meet in to worship, but the real church are the people who go to Church
and are followers of Jesus Christ. Youth ministry is aimed
at meeting the needs of those between the ages of
12-18. Our youth ministry tries to reach those who
don't know Jesus and for those that do, to help them build a stronger/deeper
relationship with God. |
What does your youth ministry believe/teach? |
We believe there is only one way
to heaven, through Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is
the word of God written down for us to live by. We
teach that God wants you to have a personal
relationship with Him, He wants you to know that you
belong to a family called the Body of Christ, and to
accept His son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of
your life. |
Describe your youth group |
We are the basic youth group,
We are planning on being involved in district and
conference events this year, which means we are connectional
with other believers. We like to be active and take part in
Youth activites when we can. We like to go to concerts, we went to "Fog fest" and "Youth Jam"
this year. Last year we went to Gautia, Mississippi on a work mission trip. This year we are planning a work mission trip to Pennsylvania. Most of all we want
you to know that you are welcome and accepted in our
ministry, no matter who you are or where you come
from. That's who we are. |
