Tracy's HuGStory

Here is my hg story that is still in progress. I am in my 13th week of pregnancy and have been suffering with hg for about 6 weeks now. I have been hospitalized 3 times so far for IV fluids. I have been home this last time for about 2 1/2 weeks on a feeding tube and taking Reglan and Zofran. I guess all this is helping somewhat since I haven't vomited in almost 2 weeks but I am still nauseaus a good bit of the day. It's been pretty depressing esp. when I have a two year old that I don't have the strength or energy to interact much with and can barely get off the couch. I cry a lot which actually seems to make me feel a little better. Of course my sickness has been enhanced by the fact I'm carrying twins and have hyperthyroidism!!!! There have been many days when I wish I wasn't pregnant but then there are others when I can't wait to see my 2 babies!!

My doctor tells me I should be seeing an improvement shortly since I have passed the 12 week point but after reading your other hg stories where they were all sick a lot longer, I don't know whether to have confidence in his theory. However, it has been good to know that there are other women out there who have suffered like me and things have turned out fine. I'll let you know how things progress.
