Poor Ol' Robinson (excerpt for now!)

Poor OL’ Robinson was simply born with out a skull. When he was born, his head was a deflated balloon, but his body was in tact. His heart beat like a natural baby’s. And just because you could see the fine wrinkles of his brain through his shriveled forehead, did not mean his mind wasn’t there. The father was a renowned whittler, and as soon as he saw this poor child’s sunken head, he grabbed that famous piece of desert balsa wood and began his craft. He worked days on it, while the doctors worked those same days keeping poor baby Peterson alive.

That balsa wood was given to Mr. Peterson’s father, retrieved by Pops when he got lost in the Beldeeva Deserts. He found it petrified and was confused about a Balsa tree in the middle of the desert. So he picked it up and held onto it.

With nothing to his name but the head sized block of petrified balsa wood, the man wandered through the desert for a month. Now this very same wood is all that holds OL’ Peterson’s head together.
