Objective

As a student in Computer Technology at Purdue, I realize the value afforded by a chance to put my skills to use in a real workplace environment.  It is my intention to pursue a career in the computer industry upon graduation and the experience and practical knowledge that I would attain through an internship or position with your company would be valuable to me as a future employee in the field.

Ø       Produce Clerk, Responsible for making signs on the computer and keeping the department fully stocked and clean.

 

1995 – 1997                         Hoosier Hideaway                                          Kewanna, Indiana

Ø       Bait shop & Game room manager, responsible for bait re-stocking, looking after game room, customers, and boat rentals.

Education

v       Expected Bachelors in Computer Information Systems Technology in spring of 2003 from Purdue University. Current GPA 2.5

v       Winamac Community High School in Winamac, Indiana I was also in the upper 30% of my class. GPA was 9 (B+) on a 12 pt. Scale; SAT 1100

Computer Experience

ü        Software:       Microsoft WORD, Microsoft ACCESS, Microsoft POWERPIONT, Microsoft OUTLOOK, Microsoft FRONTPAGE, Microsoft NETMEETING, Visual Basic 6.0 Complier, Vmware Workstation, and Nero – Burning Rom (Similar applications are picked up quickly.)

ü       Hardware:      IBM and compatible personal computers, network interface cards (USB, internal, and PCMCIA), modems (internal, external and PCMCIA), jet printers, scanners, Zip® drives, digital cameras, network hubs, motherboards, processors, and CD writers. (Can build and troubleshoot/maintain computers.)

ü        Languages:  Visual Basic, HTML, and exposed to C, java, and C++

Interests and activities

Fishing, shooting pool, computers, video games, networks, web design, video conferencing, building computers, and I was in Chess Club for two year as well on the Midwest Math Conference Team all four years of high school.
