Happiest Days Of Our Lives
In the film version of this song Pink is caught in clash writing poems which are actually the lyrics to a verse of money. The title plays on the expression that your school days are the happiest days of your life. an expression Waters obviously didnt take to heart. The school mastrer is heard to cry "You yes you laddy, stand still laddy!!," and then riffs off into a bass intro and of course leads into Another Brick In The Wall part 2.
Have A Cigar
The line "Which ones Pink?" was uttered by a Us record company agent in early 75'. Roy Harper song this song along with a few others from th Wish You Were Here album because Gilmour refused to sing seeing is how the album is about Waters wishing Gilmour never took Barret's place in the Floyd. The song was released in the US as a single after the album was released.
Heart Beat, Pig Meat
Made for the film 'Zabriske's Point' it was used for the opening credits. alking and string instruments can be heard on the sound track version but in the movie it was only drum and organ.
Hero's Return
The hero returns to his loed ones still to face the fears and torment of war. This song was used as a B side to the single Not Now John listed as part One and Two with an extra verse added. Unfortunately it was too late to add the extra verse to the remastered CD and still it goes unheard to most.
Hey You
The lyrics on the sleeve of the Wall for this song appear out of order. This song was changed and added at the last minute. The film version doesn't play this song. During concerts it was played during intermission with the lights on and the band still covered by the wall.
High Hopes
Gilmour has ammitted that this song has personal meaning to him and it was one of the first he wrote for this album. It is his recall of the band and run and all the fun they had on the way. but all goof things end and Samson's (helped lyrics and music) Son Charlie ends this album by hanging up after a troubled phpne conversation to Steve O' Rourke Pink Floyd's manager.
