On one pretty spring day, Gregory was at school playing with his friends, Patsy, Reid, Nero, and Amanda. Then Amanda said, "In two weeks time, it'll be my birthday. And I'm inviting everyone in the school."
Gregory started coughing. He just remembered something. "Did someone say birhday?" He asked alarmed.
"Amanda did," said Patsy, "In two weeks, but this weekend is going to be absolutely dull, nothing to do."
"You said it," Gregory began,"Rudoph's going to be sooooooo angry with me."
"Why?" asked Reid.
"It's his birthday on the nine-----Patsy what's today?"
"Friday, Friday the 17th."
"Oh no! that means Rudolph's birthday is this Sunday!" Gregory said shocked.
"Calm down Gregory," Patsy began, "And I thought this was going to be a dull weekend."
"What did you have in mind?" Gregory asked annoyed.
"We'll through a birthday party for Rudolph."
"Patsy, you're a genius!! Thanks soooooo much! Hey Rudolph---mummblwahckt." Patsy put a hand over his mouth, "Shhhhhhhhh," she told him, "It must be a surprise."
"Mmm hmm."
"Let's see here," Nero started, "Who should we invite?"
"Well, deffinetly Anna, and how about his friends Tony, Nicholas, George, and Abby?" Patsy suggested.
"But we should all have jobs so that Rudolph doesn't suspect a thing," Gregory reminded them.
"I know," said Amanda, "How about Anna think of a way as to how to get Rudolph to---to---wherever the party will be hosted, and Tony, Nicholas, George, and Abby keep him occupied and away from wherever this party's going to take place."
"How about we host it at the clubhouse?" Patsy suggested.
"Great idea Patsy!" said Reid.
After school that day, Patsy, Gregory, Amanda, Nero, and Reid told Anna, Tony, Nicholas, George and Abby about Rudolph's surprise party, and their jobs. Then Gregory, Patsy, Nero, and Reid all went to the clubhouse to decorate. Amanda went home to bake a cake. Anna was busy thinking of a plan to get Rudolph there. And Tony, Nicholas, George and Abby were all busy keeping Rudolph occupied and well away from the clubhouse. Everything was going well. KERBLOO!!!!!!!-----well, almost. Two hours later, Amanda's cake went to flying crumbs, and she was tatooed with cake batter. Then she remembered, her oven wasn't working. So, she quickly cleaned herself off, and set out to the ice-cream shop. Unfortunately, there, she found Gregory buying Rudolph an ice-cream. "What are you doing here?" Gregory whispered sharply.
"My oven doesn't work."
Luckily for them, Rudolph was outside eating his ice-cream. "Well try the bakery next door," Gregory suggested to Amanda, "They do fantastic cakes."
"OK."
On Sunday, nobody said anything to Rudolph about his birthday. Not even his parents (They were told about the surprise.) The only person who hung out with Rudolph until 10:00 am, was Anna. At ten o'clock, Anna's plan was in motion. She suggested going to the clubhouse for hang-out. While she used the fire escape to enter, Rudolph used the main entrance. When he got to the top, and opened the curtains, "SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Nicholas, Abby, George, Tony, Gregory, Patsy, Amanda, Reid, Nero, and Rudolph's parents.
"Jeeper spimonios!"Rudolph said surprised, "You remembered my birthday?"
"YES!" they all shouted. Then they all gave Rudolph his presents, a poster to colour, a model plane, a clay kit, a toy doog that barks, a video, a comic book, a pencil case, two new outfits, an electric toy car, and a game boy. While Rudolph was opening his gifts, Patsy slithered off out the fire escape. When Rudolph finished opening the gifts, "Where's Patsy?" he asked. "One two three," said a voice from behind the load of kids. Then everybody started singing Happy Birthday. Then they all ate cake. After the party, Amanda couldn't stop talking, "I'll pretend to be surprised if you want to throw a surprise party for me in two weeks." Then they all laughed, "We'll see Amanda," they all said together.
