Goods that may be brought in, but must be declared:- Herbs and spices of any kind
- Dried fruits and vegetables
- biscuits, cakes and confectionary...incl. chocolate, crisps, roasted nuts, sweets
- Noodles & rice. Noodles containing meat is prohibited.
- Tea, coffee, juices and other drinks. drinks containing milk, honey or eggs are prohibited.
- Bamboo, cane, coconut or rattan basketware and mats.
- Fresh flowers and leis. Plants that can be propagated are prohibited.
- Dried flower arrangements.
- Pine cones & potpourri.
- Seeds in any form.
- Straw packaging and handicrafts
- Wooden artifacts, handicrafts and curios.
- Rawhide. Inc. drums, shields etc.
- Shells or coral.
- Feathers, bones, horns and tusks.
- Skins, hides and furs.
- Stuffed animals (must be accompanied by a certificate prepared by a taxidermist.
- Wool (unprocessed) and animal hair. Wool must be clean.
- Holy Water. seriously!
- Animal equipment (used)..includes clothing, footwear, grooming, and veterinary equip., saddles, bridles & birdcages.
- Sporting and camping equipment...tents, footwear and hiking boots.
Goods that are prohibited:Milk and dairy products (except baby formula and NZ products)- Handicrafts made from seeds
- Popping corn and raw nuts
- Eggs and egg products
- Fresh Fruit and vegetables
- Live animals
- Meat and all pork products
- Salmon and trout products
- Live plants, bulbs, rhizomes, corms, stems and cuttings
- Biological materials such as vaccines, therapeutic goods ( ask about special import conditions),li>Deer horn/velvet, edible bird's nest ( deer horn from NZ is allowed)
- Soil and sand..rocks free from soil are OK.
