Probably the place that a lot more tourists are looking at as one of the alternative resorts away from Kuta. Very under rated, Sanur is quiet and picturesque, abounding in beautiful lush gardens and boasting a beautiful tropical beach. This place lacks nothing except pollution and noise and the intimidating hawkers. There are a few hawkers here, but not as aggressive as their Kuta counterparts. Plenty of restaurants and a steady rise of shops and resorts. It has the advantage of being only ten minutes from Denpasar and fifteen minutes to Kuta by car. It is a launching pad for taking a quick tour up to Ubud and other regional Balinese centres. A taxi ride from Sanur to Kuta is approx. $AUD2.50. Sanur to Denpasar is approx. $AUD1.20. A day trip by bemo is approx. $AUD30.00. Taxis and bemos can be always found out the front of the Radisson Hotel. Most are good, trustworthy drivers who know the island like the back of their hand.
