The Western WallJesus predicted that the Temple would be destroyed so utterly that not one stone would be left upon another. This prophecy was fulfilled in A.D. 70 when the Roman General Titus destroyed the Temple. Its destruction was so complete that archaeologists argue today as to exactly where the Temple was located. What does remain are portions of the outer retaining wall of the Temple Mount.
