I have 3 fish tanks in my bedroom. A 55 gallon, a 20 gallon, and a 10 gallon. In my 55 gallon tank I have 3 Oscars, 1 Clown Plecostomus, and 1 Crawfish. I have had the 55 tank up for 3 month. I have a few Live plants and so fourth. If I ever get a Digital Cam I will post the pictures. I feed the Oscars, Oscar Grow twice. Once 30 min after turning on the Light, and 1 hour before turning it off. I give them Live fish each day, twice a day. THEY GROW OVER NIGHT!!!! I AM NOT KIDDING The crawfish clean the tank along with my Clown Plecostomus. More Info on the Oscars coming soon. AND MORE STILL TO COME I promise I am working on this site 22 Hours a day. WORK WITH ME. More Info just added. Live fish do have the chance of being sick and end up hurting your fish. BE CAREFUL WITH LIVE FISH!

You need a POWERFUL and I mean POWERFUL filter, or better yet get 2 With Oscars Get them young and watch them grow! The Smallest tank to put a Oscar In is 50 gallons. They grow up to 12 inches in the tank. In less then a year they grow 70% larger.!!

IF YOU ARE A STARTING AQUARIUMST DONT GET A OSCAR!!!

They Live up to 13 years. VERY SMART! (tip) get them very young and before each feeding Tap on the glass keep it up, keep tapping before each feeding and that makes them know Tap Tap on the glass means FOOD. Make Sure to have the other fish in the tank BIGGER then the Oscars wont eat them {Hopefully} Best bet get all the fish at the same time. The other fish Need to Be MUCH Bigger even if is 3 inches longer then the Oscar, it still might eat it. more to come. And Here it is. Like the Middle and the lower levels of the tank. GET A HIGH QUALITY FILTER! Check often. I like the BioCartrage type filter systems.

Temperature 75F up to 86F.

Water quality, Not demanding strong and healthy fish, just make sure to treat for cholorine. pH 6.6 to 7.6.
