Together with its modular WAN interface cards and Cisco IOS software the Cisco 1600 series provides unprecedented flexibility and functionality. This router features WAN choice and flexibility, end-to-end security, end-to-end quality of service, multimedia, low cost, and ease of use, deployment, and management. The Cisco 1604 has one Ethernet port, U port with an NT1, and one optional WAN slot. The WAN slot offers modular solutions with a choice of WAN services depending on , also a console port (RJ-45) for managing the router, a PCMCIA slot for a Flash memory card.
