Aside from the demos Pete Ham made during his Badfinger years, I didn't feel that including solo work was really appropriate. Many of the solo works I do not have so that makes it difficult to even consider them.
The songs I chose more than one version of, I chose because there is something in each that I like very much. It was not to simply fill spots on the list. A few songs I chose live versions of because I like the feel of them live. Badfinger really rocks in concert and some songs seem made for the venue.
As for why I chose 3 versions of Ringside, there aren't enough versions of that song as far as I'm concerned. It is Pete's raw emotion that makes even the lowest fidelity vibrate with the most intense feelings.
