About The The Song:
"One night Pete was toying with a blues riff, and he started to write a tune. He laid down a number of versions, calling the developing song "May". The playful words and carefree bop reflected a burgeoning interest. One recording of it includes what seem like references to John Lennon, as May had recently started to work specifically for John and Yoko in December of 1970. Sings,"
I can't talk about John,
I can't talk about peace,
I need all of my song around you
May!" - From The Tragic Story of Badfinger by Dan Matovina.
