I remember that I was actually initially somewhat disappointed with "Achtung Baby" and that at first I felt that actually only "One" really stood out positively. I can now see that this was a far too quick judgement and that the album contains much more than just the hit "One".
There are also other big hits on "Achtung Baby", "The Fly", "Mysterious Ways", "Even Better Than the Real Thing" and "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"; however, none of these "hit" me at first.
Today "One" is still a favorite, but also "Zoo Station", "So Cruel", "Trying to Throw Your Arms Around the World" and the singles "Even Better than the Real Thing" and "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" help to make “Achtung Baby” one of the group's most successful albums, and that it also became the group's bestselling release is fully deserved.
