Comments:

"Black and White", the third Stanglers album, has the distinctive characteristics from the first two albums; the special organ-playing from Dave Greenfield, the heavy and often melodic bass lines from Jean-Jacques Burnel and, of course, Hugh Cornwell’s easily recognizable vocals.

What "Black and White" probably lacks In comparison to its predecessors, are the really good and memorable numbers. Most people will probably remember the single "Nice" n 'Sleazy ", but apart from this there probably are not many songs that could not be left out on a retrospective collection. I would probably also include "Tank" for the fine keyboard line and the pretty catchy "Death and Night and Blood".

All in all, a slightly disappointing album.
