Comments:

This was the second album from Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps. It was released in 1957, four months after its predecessor, “Bluejean Bop”.

Five tracks are originals written by Vincent and guitarist Cliff Gallup and Tex Davis. These are pretty typical early Vincent rockers, with “Red Blue Jeans and a Pony Tail” and “You Told Me a Fib”, as the strongest.

The album contains none of Vincent's most famous tracks, and is probably one of his most anonymous. There is a nice version of the classic "Unchained Melody" a song that fits well with Vincent's sensitive side. Also nice is the ballad "I Sure Miss You"
