Comments:

Jethro Tull’s 1995 album ”Roots to Branches” represents quite a broad palette of influences, from the blues and classical to the Eastern motifs. Anderson’s influence by Dire Straits is still apparent on a couple of songs. The production at times is almost 1970’s at times leading thoughts towards great albums like ”Songs From the Wood” and ”Heavy Horses”.

There is as always not much to oppose to musically/instrumentally, but I feel the songwriting is lacking, like the immediately preceding albums, which in some cases seems both overly thoughtful and uninspired.

Among the highlights I will mention "At Last Forever" which has both great guitars and a memorable chorus. "Another Harry's Bar" is also nice - and an example of Mark Knopffler's influence
