If you are lucky winter in the north is a Winter Wonderland! A time for sleigh
rides, skiing,
and ice skating on the park pond.
Gathering around an
open bonfire to warm cold
hands and feet after a
day of playing in the snow.
Sharing experiences of
the day and days gone by
with friends and family.
Walking hand in hand in the
moonlight. The freshly fallen
snow glistening like tiny little
diamonds. In the stillness of
the night you can almost
hear the snow flakes falling
to the ground.
Catching snowflakes on your tongue,
making snow angels and building
a snowman. Children building snow
forts and having snowball fights.
Sitting before an open fireplace
popping pop corn.
When it snows the world stands still
and in the silence one can almost
hear the faint laughter and ringing
sleigh bells of the past. As it
bridges time in the silence of the
night.
In this day of electronic gadgets and
computers the modern world stops
to watch the beauty of the falling snow.
Enjoying the winter wonderland just
as our parents and grandparents did
in years gone by.
