Never Say Die for Biron, Amerks in 4-2 win
Friday, June 11, 1999

Down 3-0, the Rochester Americans could've thrown the towel for the season. But they kept fighting.

Despite showing signs of anxiety in their play in the first period, they came out of the period with a 1-0 lead. On the Amerks first goal late in the first period, Pittis took advantage of a Providence turnover and led the play where Cunneyworth would eventually score.

Fisher would have two goals for the Amerks and the line of Pittis, Fisher and Cunneyworth once again played exceptional hockey and was a part of each of the Amerks goals.

The star of the game however had to be Martin Biron who turned aside 35 of 37 Bruins shots and made some remarkable saves. On one of these incredible saves, Biron went out of his crease to play the puck, turned the puck over trying to clear the puck along the boards, and got back into his net to make a sprawling save. The save of the night had to be the miraculous glove save Biron made late in the game with Providence trying to tie things up at 3-3.

Davidson would add an empty-netter and that was all she wrote!
