This is my cousin Truli', the inspiration for this poem...
Ever since you came into this world,
You’ve turned out to be everyone’s "little girl".
I love you so much, even when you’re bad,
You always make me smile, especially when I’m sad.
You always make me laugh, when you dance & twirl,
And you look so adorable with your cute little curls.
Whenever you’re sleeping, I sometimes almost melt,
Maybe when you’re older, I’ll tell you how I felt.
You’re just so lovable, without a care in the world,
And I know for sure that I love you, little girl.
Sometimes I wish that I could be so free,
But since I can’t, I’ll just let me be me.
It puzzles me the way that babies make me feel,
Maybe it’s just their innocence, seeming so unreal.
One day, you’ll grow up & think the same way,
But for now, little girl, I’ll let you run & play.
