The man that I married 13 years ago unable to touch you or hold you... the way that I want. This is the hardest part of my life... being an ARMY wife. When we first were one... we strolled in the rain... You sang and I giggled... you cuddled and I wiggled. Then came along one, two & three and your first year away from me. With two running at my feet... and one growing inside.. I stayed and stood right here... waiting your return to my side. A few years more and Saudi was at our door. The letters and cards kept us going, Those six long months stirred a great longing. Upon your return safely to my side, there arose a fourth one inside! Now with our family all made, we encountered our first tirade. We made it thru, our Love shining true. Off again into a new domain, on our front door was our last name. This army wife was no novice to strife. I buckled my belt, and took on a new life. Your gone for a year, I wait steadfastly here. Cards and letters are few, but still we connect. Online our lives direct, for strangers to view. This time is different, the daily routine. Online at breakfast, to meet you at the end of your day. Off to school we all go, eight hours a day. While you dream of me, and sleep soundly. I come home to your image, and your wav. I hear your voice sing, as you walk in a room. stirring that loving, that I hold in my heart. Wishing you were here, and we weren't far apart. But, we cling to our computers, and that telephone line. We connect our modems, and bring our hearts online. Now the ending is dear, You are returning real soon. and I can't wait to have you here. To pack up our rooms and to make our way on... We have a new adventure to build our life upon. You are the light for my darkness... the stars for my skies... You are the sun that never sets. on my endless days. You are the moonbeams that... light my way.
