OUR HISTORY:

Restoration Church was birthed Sunday, July 26, 1998 following a 21 day fast by our pastor, Mitch Odom. The church began in a home with 32 people in attendance. Three weeks later, worship services were moved to the Commons at Fernley High School where the main worship service is still held today. The church family now numbers about 130 people.

Soon after the church began, Isaiah 42:3 became the life verse for the church; "A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out."This verse remains the pattern for direction and ministry today.

Our offices and Christian School are now located on five acres in the fast developing Hwy. 50E corridor, across from the Desert Lakes Country Club. In the next few months, we hope to have all of our ministries located on our property.

When Restoration Church began, it was loosely linked to the Southern Baptist Convention. The church is now made up of people from many different denominations and backgrounds including Assembly of God, Church of Christ, Vineyard, Methodist, Baptist, and Calvary Chapel, among others. The church no longer seeks to journey with a denomination, but with the Lord's individual plan and purpose for our church family and ministry. This does not mean that we are island seperated from all other believers, but quite the contrary. God is doing a unique work of bringing us into fellowship with other like-minded pastors, individuals, and churches.

As we journey into the future, we go with great anticipation. God has put an awesome leadership team together, a dedicated church and school staff, and a loving congregation that above and beyond all else....SEEKS JESUS!
