Hi Friends I am S. S. Vasan The Beginnings.. I am born and brought up in Mayiladuturai. I had my primary education upto 5th standard in Gurumurthy Middle School. It is right near Vallalar Koil on the banks of Cauvery. My association with DBTRNHSS... I joined DBTR National Higher Secondary School for my sixth standard. I had my secondary and Higher secondary education in DBTRNHSS from 1973 - 1981. Mine was the second set of Higher Secondary Batch in 1979-1981. During my school period only, our school was renamed as 'Diwan Bahadur T. Rangachariar National Higher Secondary School'. The Diwan Bahadur family donated a big chunk of lands to our school and requested the school be renamed after their forefathers. During my period only the school was upgraded to the Higher Secondary School status. I joined National High School, Mayuram and came out of DBTR National Higher Secondary School, Mayuram. When I joined our school for sixth standard (1973), Shri. S.V.Kalyanasundaram was our HeadMaster. After his retirement P.Ramaswamy Iyer took over as the Head Master. Now Smt. Pushpavalli is the school Headmistress. Shri. SVK (thats how he was affectionatley known as) was known for his strict disciplines he enforced on our students. During his tenure the school reached great heights in Academic Excellence. We use to see 100% scores in the SSLC graduations. See you later... This is a brief about my history. I just wanted to post this information here just to tell you people about me. As people joining with me for a noble cause should know about the person with whom they are entrusting their dreams about their school. I will talk to you gentlemen on different occasions.
