I've sailed the seas for several years gone through so many wars with fears that maybe we'd be blown away and may not live another day.
I've traveled round the world by sea, with Buddies by my side with glee.
We took in all that we could see on many a rough-house liberty. Where fights broke out, but none were hurt. A broken nose, a bloody shirt.
But back on board and safe on ship We sat and bragged through a bloody lip. And once again we'd hoist our sail to another port, yet we'd never fail to do the same thing once again.
Just Sailor boys who would be men.
So try to understand I'm free! from sickness, age and what would be, My spirit's young and I am free! I've gone on my Big Liberty.
With all the ones gone on ahead I'm free at last, so I'm not dead."

This is another site dedicated to finding as many BEALE sailors as we can. We know there are a lot of you out there. So come on sailors, lets burn up the NET with E-MAIL.

We all shared Many experiences on the old BEALEY BOAT.
Now we can tell the tales of those days, with each other.
Most are GOOD experiences, but, we all had a few bad ones too..!!

The 2010 reunion at St. Augustine, FL. was a Great success,
and ALL HANDS had a great time!!
The 2011 reunion will be at Duluth, Minnesota
It's time to start planning for 2011.

Many of you will be sad to know, that in JUNE of 69, she was towed out to CAPE HATTERAS and used for target practice.
It's something, that it took the US NAVY to put the USS BEALE on the bottom.
That's something NO ONE could do in WWII
