X-Files Links - Not Specifically Noromo-Friendly

Name? The X-Files University
What's the deal? "Welcome to the first School of Higher Education for The X-Files on the Internet. This University was formed to present X-Philes with an actual degree to show for all their knowledge. If we were spending as much time in a regular school, we'd all be proud holders of an X-PhD (Doctorate of the X-Files)". Write about X-Files, sumbit it, then you can tell people you have a degree in X-Files knowledge!
What've they got? Besides a Student Centre and a Downloads site, this site lists all the topcis you can earn degrees in, their guidelines, and publishes the results of those already "enrolled". A selection from the Course Catalogue (in case you were wondering what the hell you would write about): Cellege of Femensit / Gender Studies, School of Journalism, College of Minor Recurring Characters, Villain Studies...but the best one: SCHOOL OF PLATONIC STUDIES!!!! Go and write those thesis'!
We think...

Five stars if only for the truly unique idea, absolutely amazing. It may be a bit confusing for those not in uni (or American uni's!) but worth figuring it out, if only to be able to say, "I have a masters degree Well Manicured Man department of Major Recurring Characters". If you're serious about your X-Files (and who isn't?) then PROVE it!

Name? The X-Files [Official]
What's the deal? Like you don't know - the official FOX site. The only site which has a reverse disclaimer, saying all the images and sounds are theirs!
What've they got? OFFICIAL episode guide, bios, show info, fan forum, video, collectible, archive... a serach function...c'mon, you've gotta know about this site.
We think...

Hey, it is the official site...don't go here if you want up-to-date info on upcoming episodes, however. There are billions of other sites which are much better informed. Apparently the guy who designed it has quit, altho' not in bad spirits. Recalling this from the Mining Co. - the site he envisioned sounds like the greatest official site in the world!

Home grown!
Name?
Nisei Central
Nisei Central has moved! This is the updated link - people afraid of frames, stay AWAY!!!
What's the deal? A fan site with some interesting odds and ends on (mainly) The X-Files and Millennium.
What've they got? This site is big on downloads, and doesn't waste time with small talk...X-Files & Millennium wallpapers (all excellent original ones), music, Windows '95 screens, Quake II Skins (For X-Files), reviews of merchandise...then there's profiles, awards, quotes, links, comedy, rumours, the very original classifieds, as well as your run-of-the-mill chat, ballots, guestbook and message board.
We think...
Plus stars for a great looking-layout and, if accessories are your thing, fantastic content. However minus stars for an incredibly long wait for the page to load, and some of the half-baked links (ie profiles). Get one of the X-Files wallpares, tho', they're worth waiting for the site to load alone. The creator of the site IS a noromo, but the content is non-specific.

Name? Apartment 42
What's the deal? Apartment 42 now compromises 3 sections: The X-Files Information Complex (this original link), The X-Files Online Shop and The X-Files Mythology Guide.
What've they got? "...information about each of the six seasons, including a complete episode guide, The X-Files movie information, character biographies on all of the characters, actor filmographies, a comic book, novelization and reference guide list, sound bytes, images, links, downloadable screensavers, desktop themes, icons, and fonts, plus much more." And that's just the information complex! The myth guide is very straighforward, almost completely text for ease of use. It's divided into 4 parts - The Characters, The Mythology, The Episodes, and The Date Is Set. The online store has books, CDs, CD-ROMs and videos!
We think...

Five stars, of course. A-mazing. I didn't think one person could know this much about X-F, let alone write up the fantastic HTML to accompany!

Name? The X-Files [Neil Grant]
What's the deal? This one calls itself a "database". A tribute, a shrine, in the best most high-tech kinda way.
What've they got? Loads of info about "The TV Show", online store, pictures, software & media, links, movie info, spoilers, "interactive" section...phew! For the Netscapers out there (not me - GRRR) there's the Slap A Spender game, Springfield Files, bloopers...the list goes on!
We think...

Another AMAZING site, also from the UK. These guys just keep churning 'em out! Quick to load, amazingnavigation, esp. in the "TV Show" section. The spoilers are well-organised and light years ahead of the official site. ::shakes head:: Sites like this are how people get addicted to the Internet. I believe this site is also known as the "FBI Database" in a mirror site. This site even updates itself for Chrissie to include a little "X"mas banner and soundwave! Wait, I've found a complaint - the Links page is pretty sparse. I get a feeling that won't be for long, though!

Name? The PA X-Files Hompepage
PA X-Files
What's the deal? I'm pretty sure PA is a state of America...the site is "devoted" to The X-Files and David Duchovny (guess the creator's a chick, then!).
What've they got? Guestbook, message board, news, upcoming ep's, photos, a DD section, links, stuff about the movie, and best of all..."Interactive"!
We think...
Excellent navigation, well set-out, pretty quick to load. This is the home of "Hang the Alien"! It's Hangman X-Files style, where you have to guess a X-Files quote (usually) and try not to get 'im hanged! Ultra cool. Four stars for the idea alone! However playing it is moderately annoying, cuz after you guess, the page has to re-load. Perhaps we could get a Spender/Phoebe/CSM/WMM/Shippers version going?? :) I'd like to see that.
Oh yeah, and the rest of the site...
***If your page is listed here and you have a more suitable piccie for me to use (keep it small, and NOT transparent!), e-mail me. Or if you have a site you think is great, or if you think your own site is great and its not listed here...you get the idea. I'm especially looking for Noromo and Australian-made sites, but any quality ones'll do!***
