Backing-up

Before installing the new splash screens it is recommended to backup the old splash screens of the original configuration.

First, go to your route directory on drive C:\ (Or whatever drive you've installed Windows) now copy or cut the file named 'logo.sys' * into any other folder which will be your splash screens back up folder.

Do the same procedure to the two files named 'logos.sys'& 'logow.sys' ** that would be inside your Windows directory (Or whatever drive you've installed Windows) i.e. C:\Windows.

*If you'll click on one of the splash screens names on this page, you'll be able to save the original file from your computer as a downloaded file, into anywhere you want on your computer.

**If you can't see the above files try to change your viewing configuration by opening any window, go to: View > Folder Options > View> Hidden Files > Show all files.

 

Installing the Startup screen:

To install this splash screens, unzip the file 'logo.sys' and copy it to your route directory on drive C:\ (Or whatever drive you've installed Windows) if you're prompted by the 'Confirm file replace' dialog box do one of the followings:

1. If you haven't backed up your original splash screen check the NO option in the dialog box and back-up your 'logo.sys' file.

2. If you backed up your 'logo.sys' file, check the YES option in the dialog box.

Next time you'll restart your computer it will start with the new splash screen.

 

Installing 'Wait for shut down' screen:

Make a copy of the unzipped file 'logo.sys' and rename it to: 'logow.sys', copy this file into your Windows directory. if you're prompted by the 'Confirm file replace' dialog box, do one of the followings:

1. If you haven't backed up your original splash screen check the NO option in the dialog box and back-up your 'logow.sys' file.

2. If you've backed up your 'logow.sys' file, check the YES option in the dialog box.

Next time you'll log out, your computer will show the new splash screen.

 

Installing 'It is safe to shut down your computer' screen:

Make a copy of the unzipped file 'logo.sys' and rename it to: 'logos.sys', copy this file into your Windows directory. if you're prompted by the 'Confirm file replace' dialog box, do one of the followings:

1. If you haven't backed up your original splash screen check the NO option in the dialog box and back-up your 'logos.sys' file.

2. If you've backed up your 'logos.sys' file, check the YES option in the dialog box.

Next time you'll log out, your computer will show the new splash screen.
