Welcome to Webmasters Unplugged! So, you've been to all the top websites, huh? Well, have you ever wondered what the Webmaster(s) was like? Or what inspired them to make that great site? Well, most Webmasters/Mistresses love positive feedback. So feel free to e-mail 'em!
But, some of you are too shy to write and ask questions, but you may still be curious about the people behind those kickin' sites. So, Webmasters unplugged will bring you some of the best PR webmasters around, kicked back and ready to discuss all sorts of things.
We've got tons of great Webmasters here, wating to talk. So, let's get interviewing!
Are you a hopeless romantic? Well, our next Webmaster sure is! We've got the Webmas...er...Webmistress of the Power Rangers Hopeless Romantic's Association! I also chat with her in IRC all the time. She's a cool person and had a lot to say, So let's get interviewing!
Ready to meet her? Okay, heeeere's....
When did you first discover PR?
When "Day of the Dumpster" aired for the first time. But somewhere around late 2nd-season I found out it wasn't "cool" to watch it anymore, so I stopped, and then rediscovered it during late Zeo.
What inspired you to build a PR website?
I saw that there were LOTS of Romance sites for other shows (Star Trek, etc) but none for PR. Then I thought "Why NOT?" and did it. Now there's actually a bunch out there, and they're all awesome sites.
If you could be a ranger, which one would you be? Why?
Ashley. It should be obvious. *G* Andros is my FAVE Ranger.
Who would be on your "dream team"?
Andros- Red
Ashley- Yellow
Carlos- Green
Tanya- Pink
Tommy- White
What keeps you interested in your site?
The fact that PR is always changing, new teams being added, so new couples also.
What's your favorite PR genre? Why?
PRiS. One word: ANDROS!
Do you have any other webpages?
Yes, I do. Kai's Realm, which I haven't been updating in a bit and really *should* update, plus other non-PR sites in my CW directory.
What advice can you give to someone who wants to create a PR site?
Try and think of something original to do, and always remember to check your site in IE and Netscape!
What, in your opinion, makes for a good site vs. an okay, or bad one?
A good site is updated regularily, gets rid of bad links/images, and has a webmaster who listens to visitor requests.
What's your fave part about making your site?
Definitely the Humour Wing.
How long have you been making sites?
Since April 10th, '97. My very first website was a little neon green and blue thing called "Rangergirl's Place of Nuttiness"
Do you have any other hobbies?
I love to read and write fanfic!!
How do you stay sane constantly updating and meeting the demands of visitors?
*Grin* I remember that this is *my* site, and while I do take suggestions and consider them, I don't have to do anything to my site that I don't want.
In MMPR:TM, the rangers have animal spirits. What do you think yours would be, and why?
Hmmm...that's hard. Probably a blue dolphin =) Because I'm smart (at least I like to think so) and I spend most of my time in the water.
What's your favorite site, besides yours? :)
Does it have to be a PR site? Because my absolute favourite site is Heliopolis, the SG-1 Fanfic Archive (http://members.xoom.com/heliopol)
What's your fave movie?
Stargate
What's the coolest experience of your life?
When I got to meet the Moffatts at an autograph signing.
Scariest?
This is gonna sound dumb, but the very first time I went on a rollercoaster, which was when I was ten.
Person you respect most?
Another hard question! Are you trying to make my brain explode? And so soon after school started too! Seriously though, I'd say my friends Heather and Miranda...they're wonderful!
What do you look for in a friend?
Loyal, funny, caring, nice, funny, similar intrests, funny, smart, and have I mentioned a sense of humour?
What's the thing you hate most about being a website owner/maker?
Getting emails from people who either think I'm a PR actor or am able to 'hook them up' with one.
What's your favorite joke?
Well, I don't know if anyone in Cyberspace would understand this, but my friend Laura once remarked about another friend of ours "You know, he wouldn't be so d*mn funny if he didn't swear every second word," and then started talking like he does...it was the funniest thing I'd ever heard!
What "big thing" do you want to accomplish?
Get my stories published someday, definitely.
What music do you like?
Canadian Pop music.
What's your favorite song?
"Mistake" by Serial Joe.
How would you describe yourself?
As a person with an offbeat sense of humour. Also an unusually strange, perky (only sometimes) Caffeine addict.
If you won the lottery today, what would you do with the money?
Pay off the money for my own domain name, get driving lessons, buy a decent car, then spend the rest on a party.
Do you have a motto?
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it,"
Well, everybody, that's Rangergirl! She has a great site and I urge you to check it out. Just click here. You can also e-mail her here.
So who's up next time? I guess you'll just have to wait and see! ;)
