Please don't feel intimidated by classical music! If you are unfamiliar with classical music, there are two places to visit for introduction to the world of the classics...
Classical is Cool (Can anyone argue with that?), and The Beginner's Guide to Classsical Music maintained by Steve Grace.
(Remember, if you've seen any "Bugs Bunny" cartoons, you've been exposed to more classical music than you think!)
CLASSICAL RADIO STATIONS
Instead of listing individual stations, the following single website is offered: Classical Live Online Radio Webcast.
This site offers links to classical radio stations around the world that webcast.
Also, streaming classical music can be heard on channels available from both Spinner and Radio Free Virgin.
(Special players required, which can be downloaded for free from the respective sites. Sorry, but these only operate with Windows PC's. If you have a Macintosh computer, try using a Windows emulator.)
Another source of webcasting is Live365.
Type "Classical" in the search block and see what you can find.
(Note: Live365 player may not work with all web-browsers.)
MIDI COLLECTIONS
These collections allow you to listen to MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files on your computer with a MIDI player.
Some pages feature MIDI files, while some offer links to those that do.
There is also a sophisticated MIDI player for Windows users available from the PRS Corporation.
