Day 3

I slept in today to catch up on some much needed rest. Once I got motivated I headed back to Circus – Circus to grab a few items out of my room and have lunch. I met up with Rich downstairs at the Hard Rock and we went over to Circus – Circus. We went to the Casino Café for lunch. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a chicken finger wrap. It was pretty much a chicken club but in a wrap instead of on bread.

After lunch I went downtown to Main Street Station to check in on the Lucky Leprechaun offer. It’s good for 4 nights (I booked 2), 2X points, and $100 in food vouchers. I won’t be staying here tonight but will be using the room tomorrow night. Now for all of you keeping score, yes, I’m booked into 3 different hotels tonight. Check in was easy as it always is here and I was given room 1602. This room has a king bed with a work desk, table & chairs, and TV cabinet/dresser. The bathrooms here are pretty small and they didn’t do much to renovate them a few years ago when they gave the rooms an overhaul.

I threw my stuff up in the room and hit the casino. I started off with the 8/5 bonus 5-play machines and Rich played triple play. I was doing well here and hit a few quads right off the start and got dealt a few full houses and flushes. On one hand I was dealt a hand with 4 to the royal. On the draw I hit one royal on the bottom line for number 7 of the trip. Shortly after that I hit a straight flush to the king (ouch!). I also dumped a junk hand and on the draw 4 aces popped up. I also hit 4 aces again a little while later. After about an hour we quit and I finished up the session with a $1000 win.

We left Main Street Station and I dropped Rich off at his car at the Hard Rock. He went home for a while and I went out to the Pinball Hall of Fame for a while to kill some time and save bankroll. I stayed out there for about 2 hours and then came back to the Hard Rock to meet back up with Rich and hit the craps tables. Tonight my plan was to play a little heavier then normal since I’ve been doing so well this week. I played $25 bets with full odds. It turns out that tonight wasn’t the night to do this. The table was really cold. It seemed like every shooter went number, number out. It was pretty painful. The swings were horrible but t one point I was getting close to being back to even but it turned bad again. I had one roll where I hit 5 points and a few other numbers during the roll. Rich left this table and I stayed a while longer until they closed it down. I moved over to another table with Rich and this table was a little better but not by much. We stayed here until they closed this table down too and other than Rich having a decent roll to close out the table this game sucked too. All in all I dropped a huge $3300 at the tables tonight. So much for the royals I’ve been hitting since they’re just about gone for now.

After our ass kicking we went to Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 for something to eat. I had a $3000 chicken fried steak that comes with a salad, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The food was good and our server did a decent job.

At 5am Rich left and I came up here to go to bed and put this awful night behind me.
