Day 4
Friday March 23, 2007

I got up sort of early today considering I got to bed so late. After I got motivated my first move was to the cage to pay back the marker I took from last night. It always sucks having to pay these back and have no profit after the payoff.

When I was done paying the marker off I went downtown to Main Street Station. I had set up a meet at 2pm at the Triple 7 Brew Pub. This was going to be a joint meet between members of Las Vegas Talk and the Las Vegas Advisor message boards. Unfortunately it was only me, Rich, and Jimbo & Katy from Las Vegas Talk.

After the meet I my plan was to hit the triple/five play machines but as I was walking through the casino I saw that one craps table had some happy people at it and they all had a bunch of chips in front of them. I bought in hoping the luck would continue for me and it did for a while. I was quickly up over $1000 before the table cooled off. Most players left and eventually I was the only one left at the table. I was shooting for myself and had one roll where I hit 4 points and various other numbers. Things were good and remained good for a little while longer before it got bad. I decided to get out while I still had a nice gain and colored up with a $2600 win.

I took a break after the craps win and then hit the triple/five plays. I tried my luck on the 10 coin version of these and it turns out I had no luck. I simply got hammered here to the tune of $1600. I wouldn’t have minded so much but I got very little play. The dealt winners were far and few and quads were non-existent. During a 2 hour session I only hit 11 quads and that combined with no dealt winners really hurt.

While I was playing Rich showed up and Dawn had arrived earlier in the day. They played VP at the bar for a little bit and then we all went to the Triple 7 for dinner. I had the meatloaf and it was pretty good tonight. It’s one of my favorite entrees on this menu. Rich used some of his food vouchers to cover the check.

After dinner we went to the Boar Bar to play VP and hang out with bartenders Joe and Bob. I played 9/6 jacks and a little DDB. This was the VP night from hell. I varied between quarters, halves, and dollars and got killed at everything I did. After 3 hours of play I was down $750 and hit zero quads. Rich and Dawn didn’t hit much either. We decided to quit somewhat early at 3:30am. I say early because normally when we play here at the Boar Bar it’s an all night event.

Total win/loss for the day +$300
Total comps for the day $505
