Day 6
Sunday March 25, 2007

Today’s plan was to head up to the Cannery to play video poker and get in on their neighborhood partners program. My usual play here is triple/five play 8/5 bonus. The machine treated me ok but wasn’t great at first. The dealt winners weren’t there but I was drawing winners and hit quite a few quads to keep going including a set of aces. I cashed out the session with a $200 win after going up over $400. I figured I’d get out while I still had money as opposed to chasing a pretty strong promo for an extra few buck in gift cards. I walked out of the Cannery with $200 cash & $40 in gift cards.

It was time for lunch so on my way back through the downtown area I stopped in at Main Street Station for lunch so I could use a few more of the vouchers I got with my room the other day. I went to the Triple 7 and had a Philly Cheese steak and sat at the bar. The sandwich was huge and came with fries and would be enough to feed 2 people.

I left Main Street Station and came back to the Hard Rock. I wasn’t going to play anymore here but I figured what the hell. I got a marker at the craps table and things started out really rough. They leveled off though and then got good. Rich called me and then came over and got into the game with me. Rich actually had a really good roll and got me ahead. The table got choppy though and then cooled off. I was able to get out with a little over $800 in winnings.

When we cashed out I went over to the Hofbrau House with Rich and we both had one of their beers. I didn’t really care for it too much. That’s probably because I’m so used to drinking piss water mass produced stuff though.

For dinner Dawn joined up with me and Rich and we went to dinner at Simon. We all had food coupons and comps to use so we figured we’d try this place out and see how it is. It’s a little trendy and a little pricey but not too bad depending on what you get. I had a chicken dinner that came with Tuscany fries. The food was really good in here although the service was a little lacking. Our waiter did apologize for that though. For the three of us with drinks the dinner came to $177. A bit much but drinks were a bit much.

After dinner Rich and Dawn still had some comps to burn before they expire so they went shopping at the Sundry shop and got a bunch of stuff they could use. It was time for them to head out because their flight was tomorrow morning. We said good-bye and I hit the craps table.

This was the craps table from hell. It was very similar to Tuesday & Thursday nights. There were lots of 7 outs and few numbers hitting. I was down quite a bit before a little come back but then it got bad again. I actually had a nice roll and hit 4 points and various numbers but I was already down too much. I finished the session with about a $2000 loss and called it a night after about 5 hours of play.

Total win/loss for the day -$1150
Total comps for the day $289
