Day 4
Friday March 26, 2004

Hotel:
Today is moving day and I’ll be moving downtown to Main Street Station. I booked this room with a host there and she brought me in comped for 4 nights on a silver card. A silver card is good for all of my food and beverages in the non-gourmet places. When I first checked in the room that was supposed to be blocked wasn’t blocked so I settled for a different one but it wasn’t ready yet. So I went to play for a while. When I returned to get my keys the girl at the check in desk got me a better room and I was on my way to room 1403. The rooms here are very basic. This room has 2 beds, a nightstand, small dining table, and TV cabinet/dresser combo. The bathroom is split into 2 small rooms. One room has the sink and the other with the tub and toilet. I have a great view of the downtown area and the strip off in the distance.

Meets:
Went to a meet at the Triple 7 Brew Pub at Main Street Station at noon. This meet was set up on the Las Vegas Advisor Message Boards. There was a good turnout and after a few hours the meet broke up and everyone went on their own way.

Dining:
I got a phone call at 9am from Anne. It seems like every time that we stay out half the night I get an early morning phone call. This was no exception. Why is it just because they all have to get up early they feel I do too? Since I was up I agreed to meet her down at the coffee shop for breakfast.

Gaming:
After the meet me, Yahtzee and Caveman hit the craps table. This table was not very good to us. No one was repeating numbers and they all went out pretty fast. We all got whacked here and I lost $400. Now at this point a good portion of my royal is gone.

After craps we all went up to the Cannery. They are running a promotion where if you earned 500 points ($500 coin in) you got a free fleece pull over shirt. We also had some $10 match plays and 50-coin quad bonus coupons.

I played my match play on the pass line at craps. The shooter established a point of nine and I took $10 odds. A few rolls later the point was hit and I won $35. From here it was on to FPDW. Today’s card of the day was 7 and pays a 100 coin bonus if you hit a quad. I was doing well on FPDW and hit a quad to use my 50 coin bonus coupon for an extra $12.50. I never hit deuces but numerous wild royals and 5 of a kinds gave me a $200 win. I also played enough for my free shirt and earned enough points to get a $10 Home Depot Gift card.

After dinner we played a little FPDW at Main Street Station. I did ok hitting a few bigger hands but cashed out about even for the session. I did get 2 scratch cards and one was worth $10. This was the biggest scratch card I ever got. After we cashed out it was time to head down to Mandalay Bay for the show.

After we got back to Main Street Station we met up with the Bostons at the bar. I haven’t seen them since my trip in December and it was fun playing with them at the bar. I played 8/5 bonus and after 4 hours cashed out ahead by a whopping $1.25 and 4 scratch cards worth $15. I finally went to bed at about 5am

Entertainment:
Went to see Andrew Dice Clay at the Mandalay Bay Theatre. I’ve wanted to see Dice for years but always pushed it off or was too cheap to buy the tickets. Lucky for me that with all of my play at Slots-a-Fun over the years I’ve built up a nice bank of comps on my One Card and I was able to get these tickets comped. Me and Yahtzee went to the show after dinner and playing for a while. The show had a pretty late start time of 11pm. The seats the casino reserved for us were great in section B row F. We were center stage close enough to get a good view of Dice. There were 2 opening comedians before Dice came on. One guy was called wheels. He was really funny and pretty dirty and used the eff word a lot! The next guy was Sebastian from the Craig Kilborn show. He was pretty funny but not nearly as dirty. Of course the undisputed comedy king Dice was very funny and extremely dirty. That’s what makes him so funny. The best part is most of what he said was true! The show let out about 12:30am.

Another odd thing that happened at Mandalay Bay was while we were waiting to get into the show. I saw a guy walk by me that looked familiar. It was another co-worker from back in NY. That’s twice in 3 days I ran into someone I know.

Total win/loss for the day -$150
Total comps for the day $262
