Day 6
Sunday March 28, 2004

Dining:
Caveman left this morning so me, Mike, Rich and Dawn went to lunch over at the California to the Market Street Café. The silver card covers food here so we were all comped. The service was a little weak but the food was pretty good.

Dinner tonight was at the Pullman Grill here at Main Street Station. This restaurant isn’t part of the silver card program but the Bostons and Yahtzee had food vouchers with their mail offers that we used for this dinner. This is a really nice place but I wasn’t impressed with the food. I had the rib eye cooked medium rare. It came with potato and soup or salad. Today’s soup was cream of mushroom. I hate mushrooms but I still got the soup. The base was good and I just avoided the mushrooms. It was very rich but wasn’t hot enough. The steak was tough and I was pretty disappointed with the quality. I’ve actually had better steaks at casino coffee shops. I’m hoping this was just a bad night because I’ve heard good things about this place. I will give them another try in the future.

Gaming:
After sleeping in I finally made my way to the casino and found Mike and Rich at the FPDW. I was able to get on the middle machine. Things were steady for a while and then went down hill. I ended up dropping $100 here and getting 3 scratch cards worth a whopping $6.

After lunch we went over to the Las Vegas Club to get in some more action on our way to the MVP Pass. I played some 8/5 bonus on a game maker and dropped $100 in little time. Then I went over to a machine with Rich and Dawn and played some 9/5 Jacks. This machine wasn’t very good to me either gobbling up my $100 giving me little play. Since today was a bust over here I took a shot with $40 and played double-double bonus. I was down to one of my last hands and hit 4 deuces for 400 coins and cashed out with a $120 lost for the session instead of $240 like it could have been.

After the Ls Vegas Club we all met up and decided to go up to Fiesta Henderson. We met up with out host for a while (we all have the same host there) and then hit the craps table. This tale was choppy at best and gobbled up our money. Mike took a Hail Mary on the dark side and hi it. He then turned his $18 back into about $150 on his last roll and ended up better than the rest of us. We left the Fiesta and headed back down to Main Street Station.

The last session of the day after dinner was at the FPDW. I couldn’t seem to catch any winners and dropped $100 in pretty short time. So far today I had not even hit a wild royal while Yahtzee was up to 3 sets of deuces on the day. I tried another $100 and was down to just $50 before I hit some wild royals and 5 of a kinds. I eventually had the meter up over $300. I also pulled a natural straight flush. This hurt though because it only pays 45 coins instead of the 250 it pays on jacks or better! I cashed out after 4 hours with a $50 win for the session plus 6 scratch cards for $12. Every scratch card I got today was for just $2.

Total win/loss for the day -$300
Total comps for the day $93
