Day 7
Monday March 29, 2004

Dining:

My host at Fiesta Henderson invited all of us last night to have dinner at Fuego, the Fiesta’s steakhouse tonight. Since everyone went home today I was the only one going. I didn’t want a big lunch so I could enjoy the dinner tonight so I grabbed at hot dog and a Coke at the Cal Club Snack Bar over at the California. I can’t really say if it was good or bad because after all, it was just a hot dog. It wasn’t nasty like those mega dogs at the Ho are though!

When I got up to the Fiesta everything was set up for me. They were waiting for me at the steakhouse and couldn’t have been more attentive. I ordered another rib eye tonight to make up for the crappy one I had last night. On the menu here your meal comes with soup or salad, bread, choice of potato, and vegetables. I went with the salad and a baked potato. I also got an extra order of spinach. This was sautéed, not creamed like at the Hilton. The food was great here tonight with the only exception being that the steak was cooked medium to medium well instead of medium rare like I had ordered it. Even though it wasn’t cooked to perfection it was still better than the tough steak I had last night.

After the meal my server asked what I wanted for dessert and I just told her to surprise me. She brought me an order of fried ice cream. It was pretty good and different than the usual desserts too.

Gaming:
I started off my day at the Las Vegas Club to wrap up playing on the MVP Pass program. I needed about 1400 points so I tried to rack up the points a little faster by playing triple play. I played the 8/6 jacks that paid 130 for a quad. I was doing ok for a while before the machine got tight and sucked up my $100. I was still short of the points I needed but pretty close so I played a little longer and ended the session down about $90. Now that I’m covered there I’ll have a 3-night stay to use next time I come to town good any day of the week.

After leaving the Las Vegas Club I came back over to Main Street Station. I took a shot at the 10-coin 5-play machines with 8/5 bonus. These machines killed me last time I was here so I was only planning on playing up to $300 in them. I lost the first $100 pretty fast but then a few hands into the next $100 I hit 4 aces on line 3 and it actually put me ahead. From here the machine was up and down and I was ahead $200 at one point to being even at another. I wasn’t hitting as many quads as I should or being dealt very many winners but I was pulling good hands and most of my quads were bonus quads. One thing that did piss me off though was a nearly 20 minute wait for a scratch card. I asked the floor person if they were short handed and he said no, it was just shift change. Of course as soon as he left I hit another quad 3 hands later. I finally cashed out with a $100 win to balance out the loss over at Las Vegas Club. I also had 6 scratch cards worth 19 bucks.

After dinner at the Fiesta I took a shot on the craps table. This was the table from hell and I was losing my ass. Then suddenly one hot shooter brought the table back to life. After 3 good shooters it was my turn. I kept up the good rolls and after 2 hours I finished up almost $400 for the best craps session of the trip. From here it was back to Main Street Station.

When I got back to Main Street Station I still needed a few hundred points to maintain my average so I hit the deuces wild machines. I didn’t play for long but got in the little bit of play I needed and cashed out even. I didn’t hit any quads so there were no scratch cards for this little session.

Total win/loss for the day $350
Total comps for the day $95
