Saturday March 30, 2002

I slept in a little later than normal today but I needed the rest after yesterday’s ass kicking! After I got ready I headed downtown to Main Street Station. There was a meet organized on the Las Vegas Advisor message boards. About 10 people showed up.

After the meet I made a mini coupon run in the downtown area. I’ve never been very lucky playing coupons and was hoping today would be a change of pace. I also gathered chips from most of the casinos while making this run. First stop was the beautiful El Cortez. You’ve just gotta love this place for the then entertainment the strange people in here create. Next stop was Lady Luck. I had a free ace for a bet up to $25. I didn’t get a blackjack but I did win this hand. I lost the next hand without a coupon and left even. From here I went over to Fitzgerald’s. I played a little low limit craps and walked out with a $15 win. Next stop was the 4 Queens and Fremont for some chips and then over to Golden Gate for some more low limit craps. Got beat here and went over to the Plaza to play some match play coupons and take in the fresh scent of that lemon cleaner and stale beer. These were $10 match plays from their quarterly newsletter. The first table I sat at I was dealt an 11. I doubled down for the full $20 and the dealer pulled a 19. My down card was a 2. $30 down the drain on a match play coupon. After this loss I went to another pit in the back of the casino and tried again. This time I won the hand. I played a few more hands here and the action was good until the dealer pulled 2 21’s and a 20. I walked away from the table up $10 and walked out of the Plaza with a $20 loss. One last stop for the night was over to the Las Vegas Club for some more low limit craps. I went to a table with no players and a group from another table came over. This was my greatest roll ever. I had the dice for over 20 minutes and was hitting numbers one after another. I was shooting so good I had other players making bets for me and throwing me tokes. By the time I sevened out I was up $176 including the $27 in tokes I got from other players. One guy on the other end of the table made over $700 and thanked me. I cashed out and headed back to the Suncoast.

When I got here I was hungry and went over to the coffee shop to eat but the line was wrapped around the entire café. Instead of the nonsense I came up to the room and did what I’ve never done before. I ordered room service. The time it took was impressive. I had my prime rib sandwich on the dining room table in less than 10 minutes.

After eating I decided I would go to bed for a few hours before getting up at around midnight. The reason for this was to cash in on the double points promotion here at the Suncoast for Easter Sunday. I purposely didn’t play here at all on Saturday planning on playing twice as much on Sunday. This would still keep my daily average at the same level but get me twice as much cash back.

Total win/loss for the day +150
Total comps for the day $170
