After dinner I wandered around for a while and then hit the craps tables. I was actually awaiting the arrival of the Bostons who were returning to town tonight. One thing I noticed at Sunset is they now have a quarter craps table ($1 during busy times) but it’s limited to just double odds and there are no come bets allowed. I’ve never heard of such a thing.
To say the dice weren’t cooperating would be an understatement. There would be one good shooter then 4 bad ones. I dropped $200 only taking double odds on a $5 game. The Bostons finally arrived and we all played for a while. We started doing better and all 3 of us had good rolls but then the dice would come back to us and we’d shoot badly. I eventually ended up down $500. Rich and Dawn lost too but not as much because they didn’t play as long.
After craps we played a little video poker at the bar. The machines here are terribly short pay so I just played really slow to avoid giving too much action on these pay tables. I dropped $40 here but had a good time hanging out with everyone. I finally headed back to the Rio and walked in the door around 6am. Yes, 6:00am and my flight is a 12:40. This didn’t leave much time for sleep.

Pretty much just snacked during the day and then headed up to Sunset Station for dinner. I went to the Sunset Café and had the prime rib dinner. The food was good but the service was kind of weak. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal at this place. After dinner it was on to the craps tables.
Stayed in at the Rio this afternoon and played my normal 8/5 bonus progressive. The machine was decent to me today and gave me quite a bit of play on $50 before sucking it away. I popped in another $50 and got another good run before the machine went into vacuum mode. Then on my last hand hit 4 aces for $100 to get back even. From here it was up and down and after 3 ½ hours and 3 shows in the sky I left down just $50.
