I slept in quite late again today since I was actually up all night. I had to go over to the Gold Coast sometime today and check into the room I have reserved there. I have a mail offer for 2 free nights and some buffets. You have to be staying there to get the food so I’ll be checking in to take advantage of that.
On my way out the door I noticed the deuces wild progressive hadn’t been hit yet but the bank was full of advantage players going after the 102% opportunity of over $1700. I got over to the Gold Coast and there was no line to check in. I was on my way up to the room in just a few minutes. I have room 652. All of the rooms here are the same and very basic.
After checking the room over I went back over to the Palms to see if I could get a seat on the deuces bank with no luck. These people were in it for the long haul. Some even had lunch with them so there was no chance of getting a seat on this bank. Instead I played the 8/5 bonus machines with the $1199 royal flush. I did ok here and actually hit quad aces twice along with a few other quads. I cashed out ahead and decided it was time to go back over to the Gold Coast and get one of my buffets. As I passed the deuces bank it was now up over $1800.
This Ports ‘o Call buffet is a great deal and value priced. It has a bunch of different stations like seafood, Mongolian, Chinese, Mexican, American, and Italian. The carving station had roast beef and rotisserie chicken. They also have a large selection of desserts and a salad bar. The food was good and there was a good turnover so I didn’t get any dried out foods.
After dinner I went up to the Gold Coast room and rested for a while. It came in handy having this room since I was tired from eating so much! After a short break I headed back over to the Palms. The deuces wild bank was hit while I was across the street. I decided to wait to play until later ands went up to the room. I got up there and saw the room wasn’t cleaned yet and it was after 9pm. I called housekeeping and got no answer so called the front desk instead. They said they would send someone right up.
I went down stairs and played a little on the deuces bank and cashed out even after about 2 hours. I needed another break so came back to the room and just relaxed for a while. Later on I went back down to the FPDW machines again. I was able to hit deuces once and got about 4 hours of play in and cashed out a little bit ahead. Around 4am I heard a voice that sounded familiar to me. I looked up and it was Bob Stupak walking by with a lady friend. They were having some sort of discussion and he must have said something dumb because she stomped off and he stood there just calling her name to come back. It must not have been too bad of a fight because she only went right out the front door and waited for him. I finally quit playing and turned around and saw the sun was out. It was 6am. Another all nighter for me. I went over to McDonalds or a small breakfast and then came back up to go to bed. These long days are tough but someone has to do them. When I got back to the room I saw housekeeping was here and did a real half-assed job cleaning it. This sort of pissed me off because not only did they skip me during the day, I even tip the housekeepers so I don’t get shitty service.
