I got up around 11:30 today. This seems early to me since I didn’t get to bed until almost 7. This will certainly hit me later this afternoon! Today’s plan is to go over to the Rio and sign up for their loss rebate program. Since I haven’t been here in so long I qualify. The main reason for doing this isn’t so much to get the rebate on my losses but to get back onto their mailing list since I’ve read that the room offers are strong for those who have played in this promotion. After hitting the Rio I’m planning on going over to the Hard Rock and gathering up some chips and other memorabilia and maybe even playing a bit.
When I left the Palms it was getting late so I decided to skip the Rio today and run up to Henderson to drop off my laundry and to have lunch at Fiesta Henderson. I wanted to grab one more bowl of that Feel Good Wonton soup before the end of the trip.
From the Fiesta I went back down towards the strip and stopped of at the Hard Rock to pick up some items and to play a little bit. I was doing ok at the craps table but then got beat by constant 7’s. It never failed that as soon as I loaded up the board with come bets and odds that’s when the shooters would 7 out.
I went back over to the Palms after getting beat here and getting my items and the Palms is packed. The valet is full and the self-parking is jammed. I was lucky to get a self-park spot right near the door. I’m not really sure of why the crowds are so big tonight. It’s only Thursday. As I made my way through the crowds to get to my room I realized people have this bad habit of congregating right in the middle of a main walkway so that no one can get by. I guess this is one of the things that goes along with stopping to bullshit at the bottom of an escalator or in front of an elevator door.
After getting back up to the room I took a break for a while. I t was just about 8pm and since the Palms has UPN I am going to watch some WWF action on Smackdown.
After Smackdown I went down to the casino for a while to get in a little bit more play before wrapping it up here at the Palms. I didn’t have much luck on the deuces progressive and dropped a few more bucks here.
It was now getting late and since tomorrow is check out I called it a night around 3:30am. OK, it’s not a whole lot earlier but at least the sun isn’t coming up yet!
