Day 11
Tuesday July 3, 2007

Once I got up today I walked over to Planet Hollywood. I never played here before even back when it was the Aladdin. I got a card and started off with some $1 video poker. To say the video poker gods weren’t with me today would be pretty accurate. I dropped $400 and didn’t hit much of anything. One thing I’m sick of is getting dealt low pairs and not being able to improve them to a winning hand.

Since video poker didn’t workout I went to the craps table and bought in. They had $10 games with 3-4-5 times odds. Things started out ok here, then got choppy. It wasn’t bad table but then it got cold. Things started to heat up with my roll when I hit 5 points and various other numbers. The table stayed hot for a while and I pressed up my bets getting ahead quite a bit. Everyone was shooting well and we were all making money. Well all of us except for the arrogant and vocal don’t bettor. He got his ass kicked and I loved being a part of it! I colored up with nearly a $2000 win for the session and I was happy with the win.

While I was playing a host came to me and introduced himself. After the game I met with him got a quick tour of the property and he made all sorts of offers to me (I’ll believe them when I see them). I hit him up for a dinner comp at P.F. Chang’s. He set me up for 3 people (Rich and Dawn were going to join me) and gave me $150 comp.

I left Planet Hollywood and came back to Caesars Palace. I went to the diamond lounge for a quick snack and to check e-mails. I didn’t stay here long and then went to the room to get ready for dinner. I met Rich and Dawn and we walked over to Planet Hollywood. After a short wait we were seated on the second level. I had wonton soup and the honey chicken. I thought the food was pretty good here especially compared to most Chinese food out here in Las Vegas. With appetizers, entrees, drinks (and lots of them) and dessert to go (A huge piece of chocolate cake called the Great Wall of China) our bill came to $140.

When we were done with dinner Dawn went to back to Caesars and me and Rich hung out on the strip walking through all of the casinos center strip. Simply put, this was bankroll preservation. It kept us busy while not gambling and putting money at risk. We checked out the ploppies playing 6-5 blackjack at every casino we walked through. People just don’t get it and this 6-5 crap is NOT going to go away.

I came back to the room around midnight and hit the Jacuzzi and got to bed at a reasonable hour again.

Total win/loss for the day $1400
Total comps for the day $400
