Day 12

I got up early (for me) today to go to Sunset Station to meet my friend Gary for lunch. I haven’t seen Gary in quite a while so it’s going to be good to catch up with him. We went to the Sunset Café with the comp I got Monday night at the craps table. While we were in line waiting to be seated an old time Las Vegas Talk member Rosco was there. I hadn’t seen him years. I had the Chinese Chicken Salad. It was huge and I couldn’t eat he whole thing no matter how hard I tried. It was ok but had a few items in it that I really don’t care for.

When we were done with lunch we played some goldfish penny slots. I did pretty good on these hitting a lot of bonus rounds and cashing out after about 30 minutes with nearly a $50 profit. Maybe I should give up VP and craps and start playing penny slots!

Gary left and I was going to play craps but both tables were dead so I thought better of it. There is a reason those tables were dead! Instead I went to the Pinball Hall of Fame to save money. I was glad to see the machine I like that broke the other day was now fixed! I played here for a few hours and as always had a good time.

For dinner I went over to Rich & Dawn’s condo for dinner. Dawn made us pork and it was pretty damn good if I do say so. It was a nice to eat something that wasn’t restaurant food or processed. When we were done with dinner we went to the Orleans for double points. We played some bonus poker at the bar. I hit quad 4’s right away but then the machine clammed up. I took the meter from $140 to $50 with no more quads. I switched to DDB and hit quad 4’s again, but this time for $100. I played a bit longer and cashed out even for the day.

I came back here to Caesars Palace around midnight and hopped into the Jacuzzi one last time. This is the last night this trip I’ll probably have that option unless somehow I get upgraded at some of the remaining hotels this trip.
