Day 13
Thursday July 5, 2007

Today is yet another moving day. When I looked at my account on the TV to check out I saw they had a $114 charge on my room. I was NOT happy that I now had to go wait in line at the check in area to get this fixed. This is the second time this week someone has effed up something with my room here at Caesars.

When I left Caesars I went to lunch at a place called Mr. Hot Dog on Flamingo. Not only is it expensive, it sucked. Do yourself a favor and avoid the place.

Today I’m moving over to the Hard Rock. This is on a 4 night stay booked through my host here. There are no extras with this deal but I do have some mailer coupons that they sent me that are good for $50 free bets and $40 in free food. Now I usually avoid staying here on weekends but there was a reason for it this time. I wanted to be able to check out the Rehab pool party from my room on Sunday. I’d actually go but I’m thinking I wouldn’t really fit in with that crowd so I’ll watch from above!

I checked in here at the VIP room as I always do. The room was ready when I arrived at 12:30. The staff in here is really good and it’s one of the few places in town that I’m actually remembered when I walk in. In just a few minutes I was on my way to room 926. All of the rooms are pretty much the same here. The only difference is if they are in the old and new tower. My room is in the original tower. It has one king bed with nightstands, BOSE CD/radio alarm clock, sitting area with a chair and coffee table, dresser, mini bar area, 42 inch flat screen TV, and work desk. The bathroom is split into 2 sections. One section is outside with the sink and inside with the toilet and shower.

I got my stuff up to the room and it was time to hit the craps table. The table was not very good to start. While I was playing Rich and Dawn showed up. I told them the table was bad and they went to play video poker. I was down over $1000 in no time before things started to turn though. One shooter was having a great roll. I called Rich back over to join in. The table remained hot for about the next 2 hours. I went from a low point of being down $1500 to being up as much as $2500. That’s a $4000 swing. Fortunately it was a positive swing. Things cooled off and I colored up, paid off my marker and took a profit of over $1800. If only I had gotten to this table 15 minutes later than I did!

When we were done with craps Rich and Dawn played video poker for a while and then we went over to Ellis Island to Metro Pizza because we all had an urge to have pizza tonight. It was our lucky day because it was 2 for 1 day so we got 2 pizzas for the price of 1. We brought them back to my room and watched the action down at the pool while we ate.

After we ate it was back to the casino. Dawn played VP and me and Rich went to craps. This table started out the same as the table did earlier today. Cold at first and then it heated up. I was initially down almost $1000 before the turn around. One shooter hit 5 points and various other numbers to start the hot run. I had a $3000 turn around and was up about $2000. If we had only started here 15 minutes later than we did. The session stayed hot for quite a while before cooling off. I colored up again paying off my marker at the table and taking over $1100 to the cage. During the session I had a $50 free bet and Rich had a $25 free bet. We chose to use them when I shot. On the come out roll I hit a 2 and we both lost. That really sucked!

Rich and Dawn left after this and I went over to Mr. Lucky’s for a late night meal. I tried out Mr. Lucky’s salad. It’s a salad with bacon, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, and chicken fingers. It was pretty good but way too much food. I finished off the night with some ice cream and actually got to bed around 1am.

Total win/loss for the day $3000
Total comps for the day $108
