Day 15
Saturday July 7, 2007

Today is 07-07-07 and is supposed to be a really lucky day. Well we’ll see about that. Once I got up and got motivated it was downstairs to the craps table. I was taking things easy today with lower line bets and full odds instead of going balls to the walls. I was on the game alone for a while before another player came in. He’d shoot really well and I’d lose all the gains I made on him. Then it went the other way for a while. I did have one great roll though where I didn’t hit my point but rolled number after number. Things got choppy after this before they came back. I had another good roll where I hit 5 points, but no other numbers in between. A lot of people started to show up at the table and 2 shooters went number, number, out so I got out while I still had some profits and colored up with a $750 win.

I took a short break up in the room and watched some of the party-like action down at the pool area. It’s like a Barbie Doll factory down there and is fun to watch for a while before it gets old.

After the break I went and grabbed a quick lunch at Jack in the Box and then it was on to Fiesta Henderson. All of the Station’s properties are running 7X points today. Not that I need more points at Fiesta but I’ll be meeting up with Rich and Dawn, and Steve and Anne up there later tonight for dinner at Fuego, the steakhouse at Fiesta Henderson.

I started off with some $1 8/5 bonus and I was getting killed as seems to be the theme on this trip on video poker (between royals). It got better when I got dealt 8’s and then hit jacks a little bit later. I was able to run over 7k through the machine before losing $400. While I was playing Rich and Dawn arrived and played on the other side of the bank. I moved over to join them and played at the quarter level. I didn’t do well here at all and lost another $100.

Steve and Anne arrived and it was time for dinner. I had a reservation and everything was ready when we got there. Service was great and I ordered the small filet mignon. Everything here is included and the meal comes with soup or salad potato and vegetables. Today’s soup was beef vegetable and it was pretty tasty. I got a sweet potato and broccoli with my steak. As always, the meal was great. I have yet to get a bad meal here.

After dinner Steve and Anne left and the rest of us played a little bit more video poker. I tried more dollar action and lost 2 bills in no time. I finally gave up now that I had lost everything I won at the craps table earlier this morning. To kill some time while Rich and Dawn still played I found a penny Goldfish slot. I was hitting bonus rounds but nothing like last night. I actually had one bonus round that paid me a whopping 18 coins. I lost $20 here and we left to come back to the Hard Rock.

I played craps with Rich and the table started out really cold. I got the dice and had a really good roll. I covered all the bad shooters and showed a profit. The table stayed ok for a few shooters then went bad. Not feeling it was going to be a good day, I colored up with only a loss of $300. It’s not exactly what I had planned but not bad considering the way the table was. I decided to call it a night around 1am even though that’s pretty early for a Saturday night here at the Hard Rock.
